JONESBORO, Ark.—Carl Hessler has been hired as Hytrol Conveyor Company’s new Director of Core Product Engineering. Hessler’s primary role on the Hytrol team will be to enhance efficiency in design delivery for the company’s core product lines. Hessler will implement methodologies and ensure that best practices are applied throughout the design phase to focus on delivering a quality product.
Hessler’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA from the University of Michigan in Dearborn. A licensed professional engineer since 2010, he brings 14 years of material handling experience to Hytrol and has served as the Organizational Representative to the Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA). Demonstrating his commitment to the industry, Hessler has had the honor of judging several FIRST Robotics Competitions. Hytrol’s Chief Technology Officer Orlando Sellers said, “Carl’s organizational ability and team-building experience will be welcome assets to the Hytrol engineering team. He will help implement practices that ensure we are performing efficiently while keeping an eye to the future.”
Having grown up on his family’s potato farm near Rockford, Michigan, Hessler is excited to move to Jonesboro with his wife Jessica, and their two sons, Aaron and Evan. In his spare time, he enjoys reading medieval history and traveling with his family—particularly to destinations where they can enjoy a hike together.
