The Advanced Energy Council (AEC) will hold its inaugural membership meeting on Monday, May 22 at MHI’s Spring Meeting. The Industry Group plans to affirm the following member company applicants during the meeting: Concentric LLC, Conductix-Wampfler, Crown Battery, Crown Equipment Corp., East Penn Manufacturing Co., Electrovaya, Enatel, EnerSys, Ethium by EControls, Flux Power, Green Cubes Technology, Hyster-Yale Group Inc., Micropower Group US, OneCharge Inc., The Raymond Corp., Resonant Link Inc., Toyota Material Handling, TWS Technology, UgoWork, and Wiferion North America Inc.
The AEC’s focus is advanced energy solutions, including lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen fuel cells and other technologies and accessories. The group’s mission is to uplift and promote the safe use and adoption of advanced energy technologies by advancing sustainable motive material handling energy solutions. AEC aims to be a trusted center for excellence and expertise by providing a collective voice for its members and creating standardization and education for practitioners.
AEC membership will consist of companies from the following categories:
• Battery manufacturers
• Charger/accessory manufacturers
• Equipment OEMs (AMRs/AGVs, forklifts, drones, carts, aerial equipment, etc.)
• Battery suppliers
• Consultants
• Service companies
• Academia
MHI member companies can join any of MHI’s Industry Groups or the Solutions Community. Industry Groups share information and conduct research to stay at the forefront of their industry. Typical Industry Group activities include industry statistics collection, standards development, technical publications, public relations, promotion of safety, and member and user education. The Solutions Community joins MHI members with equipment and systems users to collaborate and address common challenges and opportunities in manufacturing and supply chain in a safe harbor environment.
