The Warehousing Education & Research Council (WERC) is pleased to announce the release of an online Distribution Logistics Equipment course. This course follows the successful launch of the Distribution Logistics Fundamentals module earlier this year. These two courses are part of a series of six that lead to a WERC certificate for warehousing education.
The new Distribution Logistics Equipment course is tailored to train employees on the different types of facilities, functions and roles within warehouses and distribution centers. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how different types of equipment contribute to the overall efficiency of warehousing operations.
Key topics covered in the Distribution Logistics Equipment course include:
• Types of equipment used to move, store, protect and control materials and product within a warehouse/distribution center
• The requirements and standards for equipment usage
The content of this course includes interactive activities, testimonials, and learning content for review. It also builds on valuable insights from the initial course in the series, Distribution Logistics Fundamentals.
“By launching the Distribution Logistics Equipment course, we empower individuals and companies to stay at the forefront of current and future trends within warehousing and the greater supply chain,” said Michael Mikitka, executive vice president of MHI Knowledge Center and WERC. “Our comprehensive Distribution Logistics Learning Program provides a flexible pathway for workers to acquire the knowledge necessary to excel in their roles.”
Upon completing this Distribution Logistics Equipment course, participants will earn a certificate and a digital badge to display on their LinkedIn profiles and email signatures. The six-part series culminates in a WERC certificate for warehousing education.
