With fleet investment and future-proofing its business top of HPL’s (Humber Ports Logistics) agenda, the company is delighted to have taken delivery of the first six out of an order of 25 13-litre Volvo FH 460 XL trucks.

Purchased through Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd, the new trucks are the embodiment of comfort, reliability, and flexibility.

Commenting on the investment, HPL’s director, Jamie Benton, says: “Bringing together style and substance, our decision to invest significantly in the FH 460s was based on the vehicle’s reputation for driver safety and wellbeing, dependability and, of course, offering good value for money.

The arrival of the first instalment of the order sees HPL’s existing fleet boosted to 75, split evenly between the company’s Immingham and Hull depots. The other 19 trucks are due for delivery, staggered over the next three months.

Jamie continues: “Perfect for use on short, medium and long-haul routes, the new trucks go above and beyond when it comes to driver comfort; whilst also importantly ticking all the boxes to meet our sustainability and fuel consumption goals.

“And the outstanding service received from Crossroads Truck & Bus makes our decision to sign on the dotted line and undertake such a significant investment much easier. We know their team has our back; their ongoing support is just a phone call away.”

Crossroads Truck & Bus Area Sales Manager Adam North adds: “We have a special business relationship with HPL, and I would like to thank them once again for their confidence in Crossroads Volvo and the latest 13Ltr FH 460 I-Save engine. We’ve been working with Jamie and the team for over ten years. With attention to detail and first-class customer service rooted in the DNA that runs through both companies, we understand what HPL expects from its truck provider, and we consistently pull out all the stops to ensure that what we deliver fully meets the original brief.”
